With the Apple iBooks app, I can only sync to other IOS devices - an iPad and an iPhone. I can sync bookmarks and highlights and notes from my Kindle app on my iPad to my Mac, iPhone and a physical Kindle device. I like the Apple iBooks app a little better visually, but I love the availability in the Kindle app to sync to more devices.
